Anarhia 1998
Anarhia was made-up in the summer of 1989 at the initiative of Fane Livadaru (bass guitar)
and Attila Babics (guitar/vocals). Together with Adi Blaj(guitar), and Robi Vizi(drums), the two
begin their musical career by playing cover-versions of IRIS, AC/DC and Deep Purple. It is in this
formula,
which would change later, that the first hard’ n heavy compositions appeard.
The band makes its debute (the first official show) at “Galele Tineretului” festival in Costineºti ’90.
A short while after that, there comes a change in style, the group approaching a tougher attitude-that
of thrash/death metal. In 1992, they took part in “Galele Metal Fan” (2nd place), then in
“Sam Rock Festival” at Satu Mare(3rdplace) where they produced a strong impression on the
audience and the critics. The same year, in november, there came out the 1st product, signed
Anarhia-the SATANIA demo-including thrash metal songs. In 1993, the band appeared with the
video, “It’s Time to Die” on the national TV rock show “Intalnirea de la miezul nopþii”,
hosted
by Petre Magdin.
The end of the year coincides with the end
of the first stage in the group’s activity.
After a 3-year “break”, Anarhia comes back in a new formula introducing in its music rithmic
elements and and more complex harmonies under the leadership of Mitza Moroz-the songwriter.
Anarhia style is lead to a power tendency with progressive teints. Once with this come-back,
there are composed the songs “Nici o vinã” (wich will entitle the first album), “Progress”,
“Ploi ºi Noroi” . The summer period of festivals begins with Student Fest in Timisoara where
Anarhia is the only rock band invited and performs a high-class recital. There comes next a festival
in Semenic mountains where the band was declared “the revelation of Romanian metal”. An
outstanding band of the genre, this lively group takes part at the young’s festival (in Piatra Neamt)
getting the second place and then, at Posada Rock in Campulung Muscel, where, due to an
exceptional interpretation and a remarkable stage appearance gets first contract signed with
Promusic Prod house from Cluj-Napoca. This enables the recording of their debute album,
“No Guilt” in Glas Transilvan studio, under the surveillance of Oly. Perfectly ballanced, this first
album keeps up the power-hardcore atmosphere, spiced with progressive rock in tracks like:
“Saraca
Inima Mea” , “Somn Usor” and so on, the former getting into the local rock
tops.
