Made-up on the 24th of April, 1996 by the guitar player Fodor Laszlo (Foci), who come

from Miercurea-Ciuc, the band adopted from the very beginning melodic sonorities,

following the steps of some groups such as: Europe, Firehouse, Pink Cream ’69, and so on.

After only 9 months, between 13 – 20  of May, the band (Mircea Muresan-voc., Fodor Laszlo- guit.,

Estergal Szoltan-bass and Tomy Boda-drums)  gets in the AMI studio in Miecurea-Ciuc to

record the first demo, which includes 7 tracks. With a contribution for the keyboarding part of

Tothtal Istvan from Brasov, the pieces on the first CASH demo, entitled “Gyere Beby Rock’n Roll”,

 acquires a special tendency.

The year 1997 brings the first changes into structure of the band: the drums arre taken by

Florian Garduli (ex.Faraon), the 2nd guitar is played by Ioan Brandusan  (ex.Faraon) and the

singer is replaced with Razvan Crivaci (ex.Rap Jeans, The Justers, Ipse). It is under this

line-up that are composed in May “Whenever I” and “Tears of Silence” in Glas Transilvan studio

in Cluj, with the help of Stelian Ionescu for the keyboards. Although Razvan Crivaci and

Florian Garduli leave the band, being replaced by Nicu Barna and Attila Sipos (ex.Hangover)

CASH goes on taking part to different concerts, freshmen balls and festivals in Cluj,

Baia-Mare, Miercurea- Ciuc, and so on.

The beginning of year 1998 is marked by the coming of Razvan Crivaci as a singer and also

by the first demo, recorded at AMI studio in Miercurea-Ciuc. It  cotained 2 songs:

“Sweet Sixteen” and “Good for Nothing”. The band being on the verge of breaking-up by the

departures of Szoltan E. and Nelu B., Foci brought new members. Under the formula:

Razvan Crivaci-voc./ rythm. guit, Laszlo Fodor-ch., Dan Vaida-bass,

Liviu Sorescu-keys, Attila Sipos-drums,

the band prepares the songs for the 1st official material, produced by Nelu Brandusan and

recorded in Glas Transilvan Studio with the sound engineer, Gula. On the 14th of December

1998, there is officially released the album, “Blame It on Love”  in Cluj Napoca. The same

month, C.A.S.H. took part at the festival in Ramnicu Valcea where they got the 1st prize for the

“light metal” section and the prize for the best singer. The material is prezented at the annual

Music Fair in Bucharest (15-22.12 ’98) and, as a consequence, there followed a series of

concerts. The band is invited to different radio and tv shows(PROTV, TV-2, PRIMA, NCN, etc.).

CASH begins to write new songs to be included on the 2nd material and by the half of the

year 1999, there came up: “Incredere”, “Vreau”, “Soarta Mea”, “Aproape” and “Amintiri”(which is

the romanian variant of “Memories”, included on the first album).

The year 2 000 brings the 1st major change in the band when the bass player, Dan Vaida left

and was replaced with Fane Boca, a well-known festival organizer in Satu Mare. Although things

began to go wrong within CASH, the boys requesting more than they could give, they gave several

gigs in Cluj, Sibiu, Posada where their 1st video was shot by a team of TV2.

The month of december brought the second album of the band.
