The year 1994 brings for the city of Seini în maramures,  under the line-up:

Rudolf Stander-voc., Otto Ulman-guit., Csaba Szolosy-bass and Ciprian Tarta -drums,

the first to adopt the power-metal sound. Between ‘97-’98, there is co-opted a second

guitar player in the person of Alex Papp (ex. Protest) and în '98, after Ciprian Tarta left

for the USA, his place is taken by Cosmin Cadar  (ex. Protest), an extremely technique

                    drummer with a peculiar balance.

The period ‘95-’97 brings out 4 demos which were very wellcome by the specialized

mass-media and which “pushed” the legionaries to the tops of the metal charts:

Vox Pop Rock                   Top 95- 5th place

                                                      Panoramic R-TV               Top 96- 2nd place

Vox Pop Rock                   Top 96- 1st-3rd places

Radio Sonic Cluj               Top 96-2nd place

                                                      Panoramic RR-Tv             Top 97-3rd place

After having taken part to many festivals and concerts where the band got different

prizes, in 1999,  Legion reaches their biggest success:  that of signing a contract with

Promusic Prod from Cluj Napoca, for the first two products. An important contribution to

this success brought Poli Noveli, the bass player of Dirty Shirt, who replaced S. Csaba

between ‘97-’98 while he was taken in the army.

In November ’99 the band finishes the first official material which is called “Marfă”.

It was recorded in Glas Transilvan Studio, being mastered by Oliver Vegh.

Legion, the most interesting brutal power-metal group in the country, released the album

“Marfă” on the 13th of December '99, at Cluj-N., in a concert together with FUNERAL C.

and OBLIVION. The product was also released in Dej, Baia-Mare and Satu-Mare. As a

consequence of this success,  Petre Magdin invited the group at the national  television

sets to shoot the best 6 pieces of the album “Marfă” for his night show.

The album “Marfă” includes 10 tracks shaped in a brutal progressive power style

and it represents an insight into the world of money, drugs and alcohol.
